Any correlation between numbers of tithing parcels and numbers on census?
I came across a match of the tithing parcel in Llanfoist, Monmouthshire, no. 44, rented by my ancestor John Vaughan, and the possibility of the same number used for numbering residence where his son lived on the 1861 Census. Is that just a curious coincidence? Or did the Census use the parcel numbers identified by the tithing maps?
